About

Mission: The Arizona Assurance (AZA) Program provides academic, financial and social support for students receiving the Arizona Assurance financial aid grant. The program was created as a complement to the grant to ensure AZA recipients are successful and graduate from the University of Arizona.

Vision: We seek to empower low-income students to become independent scholars and contributing members of society therefore improving the educational demographics and earning potential in the State of Arizona.

About the Arizona Assurance Program

The Arizona Assurance Program is an invitation-only program. Students are eligible for consideration during their senior year of high school, and, if selected, must enroll at the University of Arizona Tucson campus the fall semester immediately following high school graduation. All Arizona residents are automatically considered for AZA. Those meeting the AZA eligibility criteria are invited to complete a resource evaluation. Based on the information provided on the UArizona Admissions application, Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and the resource evaluation, students are selected by the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid to receive Arizona Assurance funding.

For more details about AZA eligibility and the selection process, visit the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid - Arizona Assurance webpage

Transfer students are not eligible for AZA consideration.
